Learning Spanish in Quito and Ecuador
There are many schools of Spanish in Quito and it is a great place to pick up a grounding in the language before traveling in South America. Below are some schools with an online presence. You may also be interested in other indigenous languages, such as Quechua, but courses will be harder to find.
If you are looking for a total immersion course, then look out for schools that offer to arrange homestays with local families. Should you wish to travel around as part of your course then a number of schools will do trips to the jungle or the coast as part of the curriculum.

One school we personally know is Intensive Spanish Ecuador -run by our friends Maria and Christian Wohlermann, whose small language institute is centrally located on Avenida Amazonas.
The school is a DELE Examination Centre in agreement with Instituto Cervantes of Spain. students learn in a full immersion environment, with the aim that the new language patterns will be stored in long term memory. The school specialises in technical and professional courses, including Spanish for Medical Students.
