My-Quito.com : shopping in Quito and Ecuador

Shopping
Shopping Centres -there are three main shopping malls in north Quito:
Quicentro -Avenida Naciones Unidas y Shyris
El Jardin -on Amazons between Mariana de Jesus and Republica (near Parc Carolina)
El Bosque -in the northwest just off the Occidental and Carvajal in the north west of the city.

In the south there is:
El Recreo.- Address: Av. Maldonado at the Trole stop (south of the city).

Food: For large food stores that stock almost anything, there are a number of Supermaxi stores around town, or for the biggest selection of all, go to Megamaxi near Quicentro (6 de Diciembre between Julio E. Moreno and Germán Alemán). The markets are a great place to buy exotic fruits and vegetables at giveaway prices -try the Santa Clara Market to the west of the Mariscal area (Versalles and Ramirez Dávalos).
